Gem Encrusted Shield. To blind the enemy with sparkling bling.

Love!Courage!and Pretty Pink Hearts!!

Think Heero Yuy will have a field day with this. He will press the self-destruct button even before getting inside.

Gundam Seed Destiny ended

Gundam Seed Destiny has finally ended. As expected, after giving us so many useless filler and recap episodes earlier to make up the the 50 episodes number they rushed the last story arc in 2 episodes. (-_-;) Disappointed no doubt, but not unexpected. Action fighting was still good, but many scenes were again recycled, and it was almost a joke that Athrun's Infinite Justice does not get more than 2 1/2 episodes of screen time. And quite a few loose ends were left hanging in the air. Frankly said, they should have used the extra time to at least give us a epilogue to tie things up instead of making wasting it on so many filler eps. Sigh...(-_-;)

5 second episode summary or Gundam Seed Destiny ep 48

Just for laughs, here is 5 second summary of my take on Gundam Seed Destiny's episode 48.:p

=======================================================
Dullindal: (announcement to the world) "And I hereby introduce the Destiny Plan, where all humans, be it Naturals or Co-ordinators, shall have their purpose and future pre-determined by their genes at birth and live their existance in their rightful place.....as loyal subjects under my rule in the new Empire!"

Subordinate: "My lord, rebel forces are gathering near Arzachel."

Dullindal: " Fools! Don't they realise resistance is futile? Fire the Death Sta......erm, Requiem!!"

(The last of the Earth's Alliance forces gets annihilated from Requiem's blast. )

Dullindal: "Hahaha, now they know the true power of the Dark Side. Call the Minerva. I summon my apprentices, Rey and Shinn Asuka."

(Dullindal then sits down on his throne. Evil empire music plays in the background. Meanwhile, at the Archangel...)

Lacus: "Defeat the ZAFT we must."

Anime Rants: Gundam Seed Destiny ep 42

Gundam Seed Destiny (GSD) ep 42 is finally out! After the useless recap episode last week, we finally get to see some action in this episode. And it was worth the wait, cos this is easily one of the best episodes in the GSD so far. Lots of action, drama, and most importantly, story progress. Almost everyone makes a appearance in this episode, and some of the most exciting Gundam fights we have seen so far in GSD. Yes, Kira finally showed Shinn who is the REAL ace gundam pilot in this series by outclassing him in the Strike Freedom vs Destiny Gundam dogfight we have all been waiting for. Watch how Freedom performs "空手夺白刃" and snatches Destiny's Excalibur sword away with his bare (albeit metallic) hands.:D

Here are some of the screenshots and highlights in this episode. SPOILERS (and some not very accurate comments) included.

Prologue:
Murrue gives Neo/Mwe a Sky Grasper to leave Orb. Of course being the guy that he is, Neo/Mwe will definitely stay back for some action later.

Meanwhile, Meyrin begs Athrun to let her stay with him at the bridge of the Archangel, and Athrun agrees. Cagailli isn't gonna like this.

Fight 1: Akatsuki vs Destiny

Cagailli's Akatsuki Gundam seems more shiny now than when she first rode it 2 eps ago. Maybe she used the break while they were showing the recap episode to do some polishing on her Gundam.

Akatsuki actually managed to deflect Destiny's laser beams. That is pretty advanced technology considering the Gundam is built a few years, when Cagailli's dad, Uzumi was still alive. Since they had it since last season , Uzumi really should have considered using this first instead of before blowing himself and Orb up. *shrugs

Shinn's converts to melee weapons, and even with her new Gundam, Cagailli just isn't a match for Shinn. Destiny cut's Akatsuki's hand off. Hope Uzumi also remembered to pack some backup supplies for Akatsuki's maintenance as well. She's gonna need it.

"If you wanna pick on my sister, first you gotta get past me."

Yes, Freedom was holding hands with Justice, but this time it was Lacus piloting it, so there is no yaoi connotations here. Sorry ladies.

Shinn is shocked...

And Kira wants revenge.

And the greatest Gundam dogfight in this series thus far shall begin.
